My mom passed away at the age of 81, on Wednesday, August 27. I had the joy to spend the last year here with her.

My condolences to you and your family at the loss of your mother. You mentioned it was a joy to spend the last year with her and I can relate to that. Before my mother died in 2014, I had made several trips to visit her and during those times we grew closer. I felt blessed to have those moments and I see you were similarly blessed. It obviously doesn’t take away the pain of the loss, but it does bring some joy into a difficult time.
